Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Who we are

transcripts.fyi (“we”, “us”) is a US service, offered only to people in the United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the website and read our emails, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have.

Using transcripts.fyi is also covered by our Terms of Service.

What we collect

What you give us

  • Your email address, to create your account and sign you in. We don’t ask for your name, and there’s no password.
  • Your watchlist and settings: the companies you watch, which of them are active, your email preferences, and whether you’ve opted in to product news.
  • Messages to support. If you email support@transcripts.fyi or reply to one of our emails, we keep the message, your address and any attachments in our support inbox.
  • Payment details, through Stripe. If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe collects your payment details. We receive a customer reference, your plan, your subscription status and billing dates, never your full card number. If you stay on Free, nothing about you goes to Stripe.

What we record as you use transcripts.fyi

  • Report views. Each time you open a report, we record which report, when, and whether you came from an email or the website. The licenses for the transcript data we use require us to keep this log.
  • Email events. Whether each email we send you was delivered or bounced, and whether you followed its link: links to our site carry an identifier for the email they came from, and using a sign-in link counts as following it. We don’t put tracking images in our emails or route their links through anyone else.
  • How you found us. The campaign tags (utm parameters) and ad click identifiers (such as gclid, fbclid or twclid) in the link that first brought you here, the page you landed on and, if you signed up through a link in an email we sent someone else, which email that was.
  • Security and technical data. Your IP address, your browser’s user agent and the times of your requests, which we use for security, rate limiting and bot protection. We also keep application logs and product events (such as “signed up”, “opened a report” or, on a company page, how long it was open, how far down you scrolled and whether you used the email box, never what you typed) tied to your account ID or an anonymous ID.

We don’t ask about your investments or holdings, and we don’t buy information about you from anyone else.

How we use it

  • To run your account: signing you in, showing you reports, keeping your watchlist and applying your plan’s limits.
  • To send the emails you’ve asked for (sign-in links, subscription emails and, only if you opt in, product news) and to stop emailing addresses that bounce or complain.
  • To bill Pro subscriptions, through Stripe.
  • To keep the report-view log our data licenses require.
  • To protect the service and its readers: stopping bots and fake sign-ups, enforcing rate limits, and spotting accounts that read an unusual number of reports.
  • To understand and improve transcripts.fyi: which features get used, where readers come from, and whether our emails are useful. We mostly look at this in aggregate.
  • To measure our ads, when we run them (see Cookies and ads).
  • To answer you when you write to us, and to meet legal obligations such as keeping tax records.

We don’t use your personal information to train AI models, and we don’t use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

AI and your information

Reports are generated by AI models, working from public earnings-call transcripts and other public information. They’re impersonal: every reader sees the same report, and no reader’s personal information goes into making one.

The weekly digest is put together by an AI model from that week’s public summaries for the companies you watch. For that step the model sees the tickers on your watchlist, but not your email address or other contact details.

Cookies and ads

We use a handful of first-party cookies, set by transcripts.fyi itself, that the site needs to work or that tell us how people find it:

Sign-in session90 days, renewed as you use the site
Keeps you signed in. A companion cookie caches your session for 5 minutes so pages load faster.
Anonymous ID1 year
A random identifier that lets us count visits and connect your visits before you sign up to your account afterwards. It contains no personal details.
Attribution30 days
Remembers the campaign tags and ad click ID from the link that first brought you here, so we can tell which channels lead to sign-ups.
Messagesabout a minute
Carries a one-time confirmation (like “Watching AAPL”) across a page change, then is cleared.
Cloudflare Turnstilesign-up and sign-in forms
Bot protection on our forms. More below.
Google Adscompany pages you reach signed out, the check-your-inbox page, and the page after you subscribe; up to 90 days
Google’s cookies (such as _gcl_aw, which keeps the ID of the ad you clicked), set by Google’s tag. More below.

Stripe uses its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages, which Stripe hosts.

One third-party tag, on a few pages: Google’s advertising tag runs on the company pages you see before signing in, on the check-your-inbox page, and once on the page you reach after subscribing, so we can tell which of our ads lead to sign-ups and subscriptions. It isn’t on your watchlist, settings or any report. More below. We may also report a sign-up or subscription to an ad platform directly from our server, using the click ID from the ad: the click ID, the kind of event and when it happened, never your email address.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but you’ll need the sign-in cookie to stay signed in.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Our sign-up and sign-in forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile processes signals from your browser and device, such as your IP address, TLS fingerprint, user agent, and the site key and origin of our page, solely to make that distinction. Cloudflare handles this information on our behalf to run Turnstile, and may also use it to improve Turnstile itself. Without it, we couldn’t keep automated sign-ups and scraping out.

Cloudflare explains its handling in its Turnstile privacy addendum.

Emails

  • Sign-in emails (your sign-in links and welcome email) are transactional. They’re how your account works, so they don’t have an unsubscribe link.
  • Subscription emails (earnings updates, the weekly digest and alerts) can be turned off one type at a time, in Settings or with one click from the unsubscribe link in each email.
  • Product news is opt-in only. The box is unchecked unless you tick it, and you can change your mind at any time.

We use the delivery and click events described above to keep our email reliable, and we stop emailing addresses that bounce or mark our mail as spam. Replies to any of our emails go to our support inbox.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use a small set of service providers to run transcripts.fyi. They handle personal information on our behalf, under contract, and only to provide their service to us:

Vercelhosting
Serves the website and runs our code, so it handles every request, including your IP address.
Neondatabase
Stores account data, watchlists, preferences and the report-view log.
Upstashrate limiting
Holds short-lived counters keyed by IP address or email address, used to stop abuse.
Resendemail
Sends our emails, receives mail sent to support@transcripts.fyi, and tells us about deliveries and bounces.
Stripepayments
Processes Pro subscriptions and payments. Stripe also uses some information for its own purposes, such as preventing fraud, under its own privacy policy.
Axiomlogs and telemetry
Stores application logs and product events.
Cloudflarebot protection
Runs Turnstile on our sign-up and sign-in forms. See Cloudflare Turnstile.
Googlead measurement
Runs the Google Ads tag on a few pages, to tell us which ads lead to sign-ups and subscriptions. See Google Ads.

Beyond those, we share personal information only:

  • with ad platforms, in the limited forms described in Cookies and ads;
  • with our data licensors, if we need to show them the report-view log our licenses require, identifying readers by account ID rather than contact details wherever we can;
  • when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our readers, the public or us;
  • if transcripts.fyi is sold or merged, with the new owner, who will remain bound by this policy for the information collected under it.

How long we keep it

  • Account data (email address, watchlist and preferences): for as long as you have an account. For what happens when you delete it, see the next section.
  • The report-view log: for as long as our data licenses require, including after you delete your account. Where we can, these records point to an internal account ID rather than your email address.
  • Email delivery records and support messages: for as long as we need them to run the service, answer questions and resolve disputes.
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting rules require. Stripe keeps its own records under its policy.
  • Logs and product events: for a limited time, then deleted on a rolling basis.
  • The attribution cookie expires after 30 days. If you sign up before then, what it recorded is saved with your account.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself in Settings. When you do, we:

  • remove your watchlist and email preferences, and stop emailing you;
  • cancel any Pro subscription so it won’t renew;
  • keep your email address, so we can prevent abuse (such as repeated free sign-ups) and keep honoring unsubscribes;
  • keep the report-view log, as our data licenses require, linked to an account ID rather than your contact details where possible.

If you sign in again within 30 days, your account is restored. After that, the same email address can start a fresh account.

If you want us to erase more than that, email support@transcripts.fyi and we’ll delete everything the law allows us to.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • choose which emails you get, in Settings or from the unsubscribe link in any email;
  • see and change your watchlist and preferences in Settings;
  • delete your account in Settings;
  • ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or erase it, by emailing support@transcripts.fyi.

To protect your account, we confirm requests by replying to the email address on it. We aim to respond within 30 days, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

State privacy rights

Some states, including California, give their residents specific privacy rights. We extend the same rights to every reader. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there’s nothing to opt out of. We don’t use sensitive personal information.

The categories we collect are the ones in What we collect: identifiers (email address, IP address, account and anonymous IDs), commercial information (your plan and subscription), internet activity (report views, email events and how you found us) and the contents of messages you send us. We use and disclose them only for the purposes and to the service providers described above.

You have the right to know what we collect, to get a copy, to correct it and to have it deleted, subject to legal exceptions, and we won’t discriminate against you for using those rights. Email support@transcripts.fyi; you can also make a request through an authorized agent. If we turn a request down, reply to our answer and we’ll review the decision.

Security

Everything travels over HTTPS. Sign-in links work once, expire after 24 hours and are stored only in hashed form, and there are no passwords to leak. Access to our systems and data is limited to the people who run transcripts.fyi. No service can promise perfect security; if a breach affects your information, we’ll tell you as the law requires.

Children

transcripts.fyi is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a minor has signed up, email us and we’ll delete the account.

Changes to this policy

We’ll post any update here with a new date. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
